== Background Details == In order to keep up with the growth of the Vex Robotics Competition, the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RECF) has put into place limitations as to the number of teams each area can qualify for the World Championship Event. In the US, the divisions are in place by State. Each State is allotted a number of slots based on the number of registered teams plus growth predictions. Pennsylvania was given 16 slots, 4 of which were given to the western half of the state, leaving 12. == Fall League Option == Discussed at the partners meeting, this involves turning the majority of the fall events into "League Days." A league is like a normal event, but with qualification rounds spread out over several events. Playoffs would take place at the last event of the league. It has been mentioned that league days would also feature seminars in the mornings. The league discussed in this model would run from September until December, with the playoffs shortly after. When league play is finished, the remaining qualification slots will be divided up among several events for the rest of the season. A proposal for how the slots would be spent was drafted, but at the time, the Souderton events were not posted, so they were not taken into account. == One Per Option == The other proposed option is to give one qualification slot per event, meaning only the excellence award winner qualifies. League play still takes place, but fall events still take place as normal qualifiers, with league days held separately. This will, however, mean that each event receives it's own set of game pieces. This option has also been mentioned with a state championship, which would qualify eleven teams, but only cost four slots. The issue therein is that spending four slots on one event leaves us two short of what is currently listed on robotevents.com (Haverford, Upper Darby, Downingtown I & II, Chichester, DCCS I & II, Dockbots, Souderton HS & MS and BEYA).
